On Stage with The Love Show

• Choreograph your own burlesque routine.
• Participate in a live performance of The Love Show.

The Love Show embodies the best traditions of classic burlesque and cabaret, with its expertly choreographed numbers, elaborate costumes, and gorgeous, classically trained dancers. It’s a little cabaret, a little ballet, and a whole lotta of rock and roll.
And now you can be part of The Love Show, learning your own routine and participating in an actual performance with the Show’s founder and choreographer, Angela Harriell. Angela is the driving force behind The Love Show - directing, choreographing and performing with her troupe. A diverse artist who has invented her own form of brilliant musical theater, Angela is a classically trained ballet dancer who has worked and performed with many modern dance and opera companies throughout the country.
You’ll begin your experience as Angela and her partner, vocalist David Slone, tell you about the history of burlesque and cabaret. Angela and David will demonstrate the different vocal and movement techniques they use to create their highly imaginative show concepts. And then it will be your turn...Angela will work with you and choreograph an original performance piece just for you and your group. You’ll rehearse your own individual roles, deciding on how you are going to portray your chosen character. And the best is yet to come: later that evening, or on an evening soon after, you’ll get to try out your new skills by joining Angela, David, and the rest of The Love Show troupe in a live performance on stage in New York City, complete with costumes and makeup. No experience is necessary, just the desire to move and perform with one of NYC’s most popular cabaret troupes!
The Love Show has entertained audiences all around Manhattan, appearing at everything from Fashion’s Night Out to Bastille Day. They’ve been featured on TV and have performed original pieces for such clients as Vogue Magazine, Cointreau Liquor, and the Make A Wish Foundation.
