KINESOMA Movement Workshop

• Discover KINESOMA movement work with Sandrine Harris
• Explore self-awareness and learning through dance and movement
• Learn how to move with more ease, pleasure, and body integrity
• Develop a movement repertoire unique to each individual

KINESOMA is an exploration of movement and learning, incorporating elements of contemporary dance, and principles from yoga, Pilates and the Feldenkrais Method®. Join Sandrine Harris, the creator of KINESOMA, for a private workshop and personal introduction to this method of moving with grace, comfort and ease. No background in dance or fitness training is required.
Your introduction to KINESOMA will be through working with exploratory movement for self-awareness and learning, woven into the textures of dance. Through movement, you will learn more about your own body, enabling you to find ways of moving with greater efficiency and pleasure. KINESOMA work is about “moving outside of the box” and outside of a traditional dance class format. It is a unique way of finding true and natural movement for each individual, while learning basic principles of dance and biomechanics.
The workshop will be followed by an informal talk and tea with Sandrine and the rest of your private group, where you’ll discuss how the principles of movement and KINESOMA training can be incorporated into your daily routine. Movement is a part of everything we do, and you will be able to take ideas and movements home with you and into the rest of your life!
Discover how you can become more coordinated, fit, comfortable, and vital in your body by moving in new and unexpected ways!
Experience available Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at a studio space in Manhattan. A specific time can be scheduled after purchase.
*The KINESOMA Experience is also offered in northwestern CT, in the picturesque towns of Lakeville & Kent. For further information on KINESOMA experiences outside of NYC, please call us at (855) 461-0007.
